Pogradec at the lake Ohrid
Our retreat is nestled just outside the charming city of Pogradec, on the tranquil southern shore of Lake Ohrid. Surrounded by nature and away from the noise of daily life, the location offers a peaceful setting ideal for rest, reflection, and deep connection.
Lake Ohrid is one of the oldest and most beautiful lakes in Europe, covering an area of 358 km² and resting at an altitude of 695 meters above sea level. Encircled by a majestic mountain range, the lake’s timeless presence, crystal-clear waters, and fresh mountain air create a truly grounding and inspiring atmosphere for our retreat.
Accommodation Information
Nehemia Guesthouse:
Just a 20-minute lakeside stroll from the charming Pogradec, Nehemia Guesthouse is nestled in lush gardens, right by the water.
Timetable:
08:00 – Meeting in front of the University of Tirana, at Mother Teresa Square (with nearby parking spots), to depart for Pogradec, Lake Ohrid.
On the way, we will stop for coffee in a beautiful natural setting.
Friday – Arrival and Relaxation
11:30 – 12:00 – Arrival and check-in at Nehemia Guesthouse, Lake Ohrid.
12:30 – 14:00 – Lunch at a lakeside restaurant with regional specialties (not included in the package).
14:00 – 15:00 – Return walk to Nehemia & meditation by the lake.
15:00 – 17:30 – Free time: relax and enjoy the lake or the lush gardens.
17:30 – 19:00 – Vinyasa Flow & Hatha Yoga to release tension.
19:30 – Dinner: enjoy a nutritious and delicious 3-course meal together with the group.
Saturday – Empowerment and Regeneration
08:00 – 09:00 – Morning meditation with Asian Qi Gong exercises
09:00 – 10:00 – Rich breakfast buffet
10:00 – 10:30 – Vinyasa Yoga to awaken the body for the self-defense training
10:30 – 12:00 – Self-defense techniques, focusing on confidence and awareness
12:30 – 14:00 – Light and healthy 3-course lunch inspired by local cuisine
14:00 – 17:30 – Free time: relax, swim in the lake, or enjoy a drink on the beach
17:30 – 18:30 – Restorative Hatha Yoga to restore balance and flexibility
19:00 – Dinner: enjoy a delicious traditional 3-course meal together with the group
Sunday – Presence and Reflection
08:30 – 09:00 – Morning meditation with Asian Tai-Chi exercises
09:00 – 10:00 – Big breakfast buffet
10:00 – 10:30 – Warm-up with Vinyasa Flow Yoga
10:30 – 12:00 – Further practice of self-defense techniques
12:30 – 13:30 – Lunch: a light and healthy 3-course meal with local flavors
14:00 – 15:30 – Group closing and reflection with cake, coffee, and tea
15:30 – Departure for Tirana, carrying with you new strength and balance
What to Bring
- Comfortable clothes for yoga and exercises, sportshoes.
- Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and beach towel.
- Swimsuit and beachwear for free time.
